Annelies holds a Masters degree in Coaching and is Professionally Certified Coach (PCC) with ICF, bringing 33 years career experience to helping leaders traverse gaps of uncertainty with courage, creativity and grace. She grew up neurodivergent which helps her think differently-- providing an enormous asset to those she serves.

Influencing all levels of change from micro to macro, she coaches one-to-one, facilitates groups, leads retreats, and inspires many as a speaker, teacher and an artist.

She’s worked closely with three NC governors consecutively including Bev Perdue for eight years. It was Bev who encouraged Annelies to pursue her career path of coaching. She calls this pivotal moment, "Bev's Blessing".

Annelies' board-leadership includes serving on the boards of the Art Therapy Institute, Center for Human Earth Restoration and Triangle Art Works. 

Having traveled 22 countries and 47 US states, Annelies discovered a universal truth most people seek the Same Three Things(c): to be heard, to feel safe and to hold a sense of belonging. She works from a place of inclusion to help you find peace, joy and trust in one another again.

Former governor Bev Perdue encouraged Annelies to become a coach. It's here, with "Bev's blessing" that she began her path of coaching leaders. For most of her career Annelies was a hair and make-up artist to the stars. Bev was her client for eight years. 

Working in theater and television production, management, corporate training and visual arts is where she frequently worked closely with high-performing, high-level professionals. 

She's also served high-achieving stars such as Bernadette Peters, Petula Clark, Andy Griffith, Tony Curtis, Sandra Bullock, Tom Selek, Jerry Lewis, Juliette Prouse, Patrica Neal, and political figures such as Brian Williams of NBC, President Barack Obama's inaugural Advisory Council member Eboo Patel, White House Advisory Council Syliva Jackson, Secretary of State Elaine Marshall, Senators Richard Burr, Bob Dole and so many more relied on her trusted gift of presence.

The leaders she works with treasure her insight, compassion and safety to be vulnerable in her presence. She consistently brings these values to her coaching practice today.

Annelies began work at age 19 way before the internet. Youngest ever hired by three global haircare companies. Matrix International, Zotos International and Paul Brown. She became regional educator for each company and worked her way up to even being featured at age 21 on the TV program 60 Minutes! 

She's a life-long learner and seeker. She senses everything in life is connected and believes in always asking good questions. Decades of continuing education in mind, body, spirit connection, consciousness, science and spirituality add to the complexity and depth of her wisdom, ability to serve and deeply listen. This includes extensive training in mindfulness, meditation and a Hatha YTT-200 yoga teacher certification. She's also a certified teacher of Laughter Yoga with Dr. Madan Kataria.

With a Masters in Coaching and a knack for poking in a good way, Annelies' gift of presence and loving interruption gently calls you “back to center”. Through leadership coaching, engaging keynotes, and inspiring retreats Annelies helps leaders face uncertainty with courage, creativity and grace. 

Annelies is also an Interfaith Minister and Spiritual Counselor helping individuals, couples and leaders communicate clearly with meaning and compassion. Presiding over life transitions from birth to death to honoring sacred celebrations, ceremony, weddings is another way she holds space for meaningful moments. She's ordained through CA Universal Life Church (2007) and NC Earthstar Spiritual Center (2021).
